You Asked For It

I got one vote on my playlist, and it was for "it stinx." As your punishment for either not voting or for being unkind to me, I am going all the way back to 3rd grade. Here are some songs from my childhood that I loved, and still like because they give me that nostalgic feeling. I'm just too embarrassed to put them in regular rotation.

Joey was my favorite. I was fully "in love" with him. Now I look at his pictures, and he was cute, but he was a baby. Wow. He used to look so old and mature to me! HA!

Come to think of it, they all look like children now...

BTW, have you heard their new album? Yikes. Middle aged men should not try to be a boy band. I'm sure there's something else they could have done with their new album...on the other hand, all they know is how to be a boy band. I dunno. Yikes, though...seriously.

Hey, I was a closet NKOTB fan. You were in 3rd grade? Wow! Now I feel OLD. I was in at least jr. high / highschool. How much older than you am I?

I always have the sound muted on this site. So I never heard the music anyway. I like to make up the music in my head. It rubs the lotion on it's skin... after it's all over I want you to say " Oh what a lovely tea party." ... bye

It's too late! You have roused my wrath, and I am not feeling in the mood to be placated. You will listen to Milli Vanilli and NKOTB until my ire has subsided. The poll has been removed so that you cannot try to fool me with your empty flattery as to the greatness of the music I added to my glorious play list of old.

I loved Joey too!!! He was sooooo cute and he was going to marry me. lol!

Mary said...

LOL! He married a girl named Barret instead. She's pretty, but her name is unfortunate.

I looked him up after I posted this. He seems very self-important these days. But he has been famous since he was 12 or something crazy like that. That would probably make most people a little high on themselves. Still...

Still he had a cute tushie back in the day. lol!

I remember watching this one NKOTB concert on pay per view and they all did this little butt shake thing. Scandalous! Their dance moves could've used a little help.

HA! I was watching some old videos on YouTube once, and they really did have some questionable dance moves! I guess I'm just becoming a prude in my old age. Or maybe I just had no clue back in my 3rd grade days. Good times. (He was really cute.)

Okay. First of all, your playlist does NOT stink. I did not see the poll either, but I would have told you it does not stink.
Second, yes, I have heard the new album, and yes, it is cheesey, but I still downloaded it, because, let's face it, it does remind me of good times, and I also downloaded some of thier old songs, but I'm rather embarassed, frankly to listen to it in the car, thinking, "What if I have an accident, and the paramedics had to come save me, and when they open up my car, they hear this, how embarassing would that be?" But, I listen anyway, because it always makes me laugh. But the new album, while cheesey, is also so....um.....suggestive....that some of the songs, I'm embarassed to listen to...even when I'm all by myself with the headphones in. For instance one song about making an....um....home movie....yep....yikes. However, new-album-cheesiness notwithstanding, Mary, I really do not appreciate the suggestion that they are middle aged, considering the OLDEST is less than 8 years older than I am, which, these days, is not a huge deal.
I did, however, recently see them in concert with my friends from highschool and had a blast. And we acted like very ridiculous 14 year old girls, as we once were when we were such big fans. - And FYI, Dana Cheryl... Even at 36, tooshie STILL very cute.
Lastly, I think a couple of people here, as well as my friends that I went to the concert with are very CONFUSED....as I recall, Joey always planned on marrying ME....
He must have been everyone's favorite.

You know what song you should add to your playlist? It always makes me think of you. Remember Lisa Loeb? You say.... I only hear what I want to....you say...I talk so all the time.
We liked that one....and her glasses....WOW!

Laura! Over a year later, I read your comment, and let me tell you, it made me laugh! You are funny, no matter what Dalynn says. I am going to put Lisa Loeb on my playlist in honor of you.
