Happy Tax Filing Day!

Here's a song in honor of tax day.  It makes me laugh.  Actually, the first time I remember hearing this song, I started rolling, because I have that shower paranoia the guy talks about in this song!  I thought I was the only freak who felt that way in the tub.  I still get nervous when I have to close my eyes in the shower.  Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but for a very long time I refused to shut my eyes when I washed my hair.  I was just really careful not to get soap in my eyes. *sigh* I suppose that's way too much information on my paranoia for all of you guys. The good news is that I KNOW it's a little crazy, so I can guard against my paranoid fantasies.

Oh, this just happened while I was typing my message - I just got off the phone with a bill collector.  I was explaining our financial situation, and she told me they were hiring and said that if I applied I'd have as good a chance as anyone to get the job.  I have to admit - I'm very interested...

yes, don't think about those giant spiders dangling from the ceiling while you have your eyes closed to wash your hair. ;)

and I agree, as long as you know when you are being irrational, you're alright.

Thanks, I almost forgot about the spider incident. Just one more thing to freak me out - and probably more likely as well. I was actually in the shower tonight while Jeremy was out. I had just finished washing my hair and someone came into the bathroom. It was Jeremy, but he almost got kicked somewhere that would have hurt.

I can't take a shower when no one is in the house to "protect" me from the monsters that are sure to get me when I shower in an empty house.

I think this is why I mostly just take baths now. A bad guy (ok monster) could still bust through the door, but at least I would be able to see them ;)

That's funny. I can't find my clear shower curtain, so I've been having to use a dark green one that blocks the light and the view into and out of the shower, and it really freaks me out. When I'm in the bathroom for any reason and the curtain is drawn, I imagine all kinds of ghouls hiding in the tub where I can't see them; and when I'm in the shower, I can only guess at what's waiting for me when I get out of the shower. I'd really like to find the old curtain and put the one I'm currently using where it belongs: across the doorless pantry in my kitchen.

When I was a kid, I was scared that mushrooms were going to grow up from the drain the tub and get me... we had mushrooms growing behind our toilet once in the apartment I lived in.. so I'm sure it was a combination of that incident, and wayyy too much super mario brothers ;)

HAHA Rob! Sorry you had mushrooms growing behind your toilet once, though. That's pretty icky.
