My Sweet Birthday Girl

Today is Launa's birthday! She is 4 years old! I can't believe how sentimental I'm being but last night at 11:55 I went into her bedroom to give one last kiss to my 3 year old, and I started to cry! It's a little embarrassing to admit now, because I feel like some creep that crawled in her window, but I climbed in bed with her and kissed on and smelled my baby girl. I want to remember this, because it won't be long before the chubby cheeks and dimpled fingers go away, and her pretty baby teeth will fall out and she'll get giant, crooked, ugh-os in their place. And she's going to be in school, and she won't want me snuggling with her all the time. *sob* Here's a special Launa playlist in honor of the best little girl I have ever met! You'll have to pause the playlist to watch the video.

I know exactly how you feel. QQ is turning 3 in a week! Who let that happen? I love the way Launa says "pancake" and "chocolate chips". So cute!

I think part of the pang of QQ getting older, for me, is that we have been trying to have another baby for 2 years, and it's not happening, so I'm just bummed at the thought of QQ being the last kid I'll ever see turn 3 :(

Wow, T. 2 years is a long time to try and not have anything happen, but don't give up yet. Lots of people have babies after trying for much longer than you have. But yeah, I'm surprised how hard that hit me last night. Then I took her to get her pictures done today and the lady that took them looked at one shot and said,"You can really see in this picture she's starting to look more like a little girl than a baby." Ugh, thanks lady. I rarely regret deciding not to make anymore, making healthy babies has been a real trick for us, but sometimes it makes me sad. Though our plans to adopt in the future help assuage some of that sadness for me.

It's just too fast! I miss my little Lydia a lot! I've got lots of little boys, but girls are just different.

There is a sweetness to little girls that little boys just don't have. Little boys are awesome, but you're right, there's something about little girls. (And then they become teenage girls...what the heck happens to turn them into that?!)

Your sad playlist only has 80 or so songs?!?!?! I'm shocked you even bothered to post it.

LOL! Who wrote that? That's not Launa's birthday playlist, that's my everyday playlist.I just keep adding to it when I think of an awesome song that should be on there. And it's great to listen to when I need to clean house. I never make it all the way through the playlist though. :( Also, it's closer to 90 songs now. Let's not make my list a paltry 80. ;P
