Another Pair of Jeans - Gone

Would you believe it? I lost another pair of jeans today. Actually, I think I can squeeze a couple of more weeks out of them. The hole is very little, but it's in one of those places where it won't be little for long. I'm down to one pair of jeans...why did all my jeans choose now to wear out on me? I didn't buy them at the same time. They probably know I can't replace them right now. Maybe I can piece new jeans out of my old ones. Sounds like it will take some thought. I have a serious aversion to thought.

Oh man! Maybe the death of jeans follows the old wive's tale of "death comes in threes".

How 'bout putting a cool patch on 'em? Is that possible?

When low on money, and pants, I go to the goodwill or salvation army or yard sales. They all have jeans of all shapes and sizes.

I can't lose another pair of jeans! I only had 3 to begin with! And I can't put a cool patch on them because the hole is high on the inseam - a patch there would just be wrong. And I think trying to patch from the inside with one of those iron-on patches would be uncomfortable and would cause an odd wear pattern. Good idea if the hole were elsewhere.

I do have a Salvation Army nearby. I'll have to see what they have.

Good jeans are sooo hard to find. Especially on a seriously limited budget. Plus, they have to look good. As I carry my "junk" in my "trunk," jean shopping can be tramatic for me. AND they have to be long enough. That is a big problem for me. I too am a serious good will shopper. I hardly ever buy anything new. I just can't afford it. It sucks to be poor. Sorry about your jean delima, I certainly can sympathize.
