I accidentally erased one or two songs off of my playlist, but I have no idea which ones. It bums me out a little because there's really no way of knowing for sure. My playlist is not as cool as it had been now, but it's still better than John's.
You know, it's not pride to think you're great, it becomes pride when you think you're greater than someone else (or something like that to sort of quote C.S. Lewis).
On that note, I'm pretty sure I'm the most prideful female in the universe. I think John wins for the male department ;)
Are you saying I'm being a bit proud? Well good. It's about time there was something I felt I excelled at. Even if it is only picking tunes - tunes that i didn't even write. And I think you're right about John. I haven't spent enough time with you personally to know for sure about you. I'm sure that while you feel insanely awesome about yourself, you probably don't flaunt it to the degree that John does. I actually was a little put off by that when I first met John. Then somehow it became a part of his charm. Weird.
I think the point I was making was that excelling at something should be it's own reward. It only becomes pride when you think you are better than someone else and that's the important part to you (being better than someone else). I'm still working on this personally so it's kind of hard to explain.
I think it's tied into envy, since if you are happy with yourself then you don't want what everyone else has. So, be happy with yourself because you are awesome Mary with an awesome playlist!
But for those of you that may be new to my blog, if you need to shut off the music for a minute, say to watch a video, or listen to another song that's on my blog, just scroll down to the bottom of the page, and my playlist is hanging out there.
Hello! My name is Mary, and I am the mastermind behind all this awesomeness! I am the mother of two middle - sized children, and the wife of one very handsome man. I like to crochet - it has gone from a sometime hobby to something of an obsession. Maybe I should be a little ashamed of my addiction, but I've decided to embrace it instead!

Silly lady, having a better playlist than John isn't really that great a feat (lots of people do). I just like teasing him.
Poor John. I'm riding him hard today. I think it must be to make up for that one time I kept telling him how much I loved him.
By all means, keep up the John teasing!
Hey!
Hey! Like! Like! Like, your gonna pay for that! Hey!
It is charming though isn't it?
You have to be on your own side, that's how I see it.
Who else's side would you be on? (You're going down!)
