They're Gone

Yep. The boys just left for 3 days. It's just us girls! So, party at my house-girls only!

...I wish...

Instead I get to pack and clean while the boys go get a job for Jeremy. Neither is really a "fun" thing to do, but if I could be relaxing while Jeremy drives (for 8 hours) and then hang out with family for a couple of days instead of cleaning, believe me I would!

I did promise Launa a girl night, where we could do hair, makeup, nails, dress-up, watch a girl movie and scarf pop-corn and cookies. Not a bad night if you ask me. Who knows, maybe a good friend will show up! Launa is way excited and can't wait to start. I told her we have to get some work done first, and she took it pretty well. We'll probably pack her room first. So if I want to have some fun, I should probably get to work now.

Are ya'll moving? If so... good luck! I'm moving too. It's a daunting task to unpack all those boxes.

the trick to unpacking boxes is to get really really ill. that way you can't, and then you have someone else do it, preferably a husband, but the relief society works too. i know, it's brilliant. now, i wonder why i still have boxes that need unpacking....?

Dana, yep! In 2-3 weeks-to Georgia from the STL. Should be an adventure!

Liz- LOL! Brilliant! D'oh, wait-I'm too healthy for that. Curse my strong immune system! I guess I'll just have to unpack myself.

Huh, and I thought you pack only the stuff you don't want to take with you. That way Goodwill can spread the stuff around. Plus when you get to GA you can sit back and enjoy the scenery without the guilt of not getting things unpacked.... It's a thought and I'm a thoughty person.

It's so great you joined us in the blogosphere! I have a feeling you're gonna be greatly missed. So why GA?

Anonymous- Good thinking- just don't pack, then there will be no unpacking once I get there. Why didn't I think of that before?

Dana- My in-laws have started a church there and they need all the help they can get, so we're going there for a few years to help out. I'm really excited, but the moving part is starting to get to me. Leaving my family and friends and all that. I understand you just came back from a mission, but your family is from KY. Why are you in Cedar City now? (BTW, my cousin lives there.)

AUNT KATHY!! It was YOU! My mom tattled.

Mary! How could you say such a thing???? I would NEVER rat out my VERY FAVORITE next older (and did I say brilliant?) sister!

Church planting? Very cool! It'll be an exhausting but fun experience. All the more so because you know God goes with you!

Why AM I in Cedar City?! I ask myself that on a daily basis. LOL!

Seriously though... I'm here because God told me to come here and He made a way for it to happen. I'm not sure of the exact purpose but I see glimpses every single day.

Being LDS plays a big part in it of course. I wanted to come to the "Mother Ship" to see how the other half live. The only other way I'd get to be in the religious majority as a Latter Day Saint would be to move out of the country. Unfortunately I don't speak Tongan, Samoan, Portuguese, etc... :)

Wow, that's very cool, and a serious leap of faith. I'm interested in your progress, so keep me informed (ok, I'll read your blog like everyone else!). How about Figi? When I was in SLC a few years ago, we took a tour of the temple, and our tour guide was from Figi. The official language is English there (I asked). I don't know if the major religion of the area is LDS, but maybe it is...? Just a thought for when you're done with your work in Cedar. ;)

Mom- oh yeah - sorry. What I meant to say is: It was YOU Aunt Kathy! I figured it out on my very own, because besides sharing my unusually large quantity of beauty, you also share my birthday! 2 things we share! Of course! Mom didn't tell me anything. I used my thoughty brain.

Fiji huh? Sure why not?! The South Pacific is heavily LDS as is South America. We have good numbers is Australia too. I hope God sends me to all those places. lol! Only time will tell...

Where to after GA? Any thoughts? I usually do plan that far ahead.

I meant I usually don't plan that far. I'm a follow my bliss & God's plan kinda gal!

As is commonly understood.... Total Brilliancy runs in the genes.
Well, if your mom had thought of it she really should have said. My Dearest and Most Preciousest Mary, please don't let my equally most dearest and preciousest next oldest and brilliantest sister know that I told you!
And to think that all those mean things I did to that red haired stinker while growing up were wasted....Go figure!
BTW how long did you and Grandpa visit? He actually remembered to tell Grandma some of what you told him. He's to see his psyc. tomorrow morning. Then Grandma gets her teeth cleaned in the afternoon. And not a minute too soon!

Oh yeah! I have to go to the $.99 store tomorrow and get party favors. It's Chuck's 1st Birthday!!! My baby is growing
up! I hope Thom behaves at the party! More than that I really hope Grandpa behaves... Party animal that he is!

Dana- Not really sure what's after GA, we'll just have to wait and see. Boy are we fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants girls! ;)

Aunt Kath- I think we only talked for a couple of minutes. He wasn't too chatty. Glad he remembered the conversation, tho. Did you have a fun party?
