TGFTFH!!

And for those of you unfamiliar with that particular acronym, it stands for: Thank God For Tax Free Holidays!! Ours starts today, I will now take Jeremy's first paycheck from his new job and spend it all on Daniel's school supplies and new jeans. Ok, not ALL of it, but a goodly portion.

um, i don't get it. you have a tax free holliday, and how does that tie into buying school supplies? (yes, yes, i know, it just takes me a little longer, and sometimes additional explanations are required.)

I want a tax free holiday... How do I get one of those?!

Liz- All it means is that I can buy Daniel's school stuff without having to pay the 6-8% state sales tax (I still have to pay federal tax...curse those feds- unless the feds are reading this, then I love paying my federal taxes in all their forms- sales tax, FICA, income tax, marriage tax, death tax-yay for taxes!). Nice. They have one in MO too, but I think you missed this years'. DC- Move to or right next to a state that has a tax-free holiday. The states I know for sure have one are Missouri and Georgia. :)

(Daniels' first day of school is Thursday, which is another reason why I'm buying his stuff this weekend.)

That is this weekend. Yay. I guess I will have to take Dalynn shopping again. She's outrowing all of her clothes. I think I'm going to have to buy her Jr sizes, because Grandpa took her to the store the other day, and she bought the largest shirt in girl's sizes, and we're not sure it will fit after it's washed. her feet and hands are already bigger than mime. Actually, last year, that's what we did for her birthday party, was take her shopping for her tax free weekend. This year, we're going to the park, though, it's about ten thousand degrees outside, because she had like 15 kids she wanted to invite.
This Sunday, she will be 11. Wow, am I old. (Especially feeling old after I saw that picture of James with facial hair, please tell me that's all photoshop, isn't he like 10 years old, lol) Of course, you're still young. Must be nice to be 24. Brat! I'm getting wrinkles and gray hair.

Wow Laura! I'm so glad you came to my blog! Is the MO tax-free holiday this weekend too? (You know I'm hanging in Georgia now, right?) I can't believe how old your baby is! I can't keep mine in decent looking clothes either, crazy weeds, I guess that's why they're always naked! The funny thing is, I'm about 2 years older than you believe I am, so JOHN is actually 24! :) Sadly, that crazy facial hair on beautiful baby James is very very real. (His wife would murder me for calling him a baby! He is a grown man, thankyouverymuch.) I wish I could get with you guys this summer when your mom is in town and bring my babies to meet yours, but I guess it's not to be this year.

YAY! I'm so glad you came! Come check-in more often! Love you!

Hey, I didn't think you were that much younger than me, but I could have sworn your profile said you were 24. I only found out you were in GA last night, when I said, "I bet Thana would like playing with Sarah and Mary's kids." And she said, "Mary's already in Georgia." Like I knew what she was talking about. LOL.
By the way, I remember James got married, but I refuse to believe that, because even though I've been married for an entire decade (yep, not exaggerating), I am not so old as to have a cousin who's 10 years younger than I am be old enough to be married.
Oh, and by the way, I'm posting as anonymous because since last night, I have forgotten what the password I set up was. Some variation of the same thing I always use, I am sure, but since every website has different requirments for the passords, I'm truly at a loss as to how I set this up.

That's ok Laura. I'm so sad and disappointed that our kids won't get to play. We'll have to make time to get together when I'm in town. (Yeah, I know we never did before I moved 8 hours away, but now it's important!) We'll have to exchange email addresses. Your mom has mine. Speaking of being married, my 7th anniversary is coming up in less than a month. Hmm...I'm starting to feel a little itchy! ;P (Really, when DID we get so old? Didn't we used to lie around upstairs at your mom's house and listen to Meatloaf and Green Day all day? And discuss the boy du jour? Brad Pitt, my dad, what have you?)
