Update

We got the keys to the apartment today. We can move in anytime. (YAY!) I also went over to Region's Bank to submit my resume. I talked to the manager that asked my SIL to come back. All I had to do was drop her name, and he made a way for me to apply. (They had closed the application because they had 56 applicants, but they reopened it so I could apply.) I go in for the 2 hour assessment on Tuesday at 10:00. I really think I may get it. I'm so glad someone has come before and cleared the path to employment for me! Now I have to do a better than great job so as not to sully my sister's good name!

Teehee! I'm giddy with excitement! AND, my assignments that are due tomorrow are WAY fun! Can my life possibly get any better? (That's right, I said my assignments are fun...huh, never thought I'd say that!)

Seriously - my assignments for contract law are all based on scenarios. We've been following this rich and famous guys named Derek through all of his legal woes, from being angry that his autobiography was tweaked (without his approval) before going to print, to losing his $4mil house in Miami in a drunken poker match, to now, finally, taking a contract out on his ex-wife. It is so much fun to explore the legal issues in these scenarios! Man, I AM a geek!

Hey- so Liz says you need an Ice scraper. Here's some smart monkey advice:

Get yourself a hard plastic mug or cup. (A mug is nice cause it has a handle.) Turn it open side down on your windsheild and scrape the ice or frost off with that. It works better than any icescraper, because you can apply much more direct pressure to the backside of the cup than you can to an icescraper.

Peace!

John

After all your neighbors see you doing that, sell them plastic mugs for $14 each and call them John Sever Christmas Frost removers! Send the money to me.

Ooh! Great idea! I have the perfect mug for it too. When I have Internet at my house, I'll take a photo of it!

Quick update, I don't think I got the job: I is toe dum fore too bee ay banck telr.

I'll try Longhorn Steakhouse next. The tips should be good there anyway.

The apartment is great. Had a lot of homework to do this week, so I'm not as moved in as I'd like to be, but Jeremy will be home for 2 weeks, so we'll knock it out then!

TTYL all!
