Oh Rapture!

Today was friends and family day at Kmart, and I've been putting off a shopping trip to buy Daniel jeans (he only had one pair) and Launa tennis shoes (she wears a 9, her old ones were a 7) because we have been on a tight budget lately, but with Jeremy's sister starting at Kmart I decided to head over there today for the extra percentage off. Anyway, I was walking toward the shoes, and I passed the book aisle. Just out of curiosity, I stuck my head in. There, in the very front, big and beautiful with a black cover and a red ribbon cascading down the front, was a copy of the next book in the series: Eclipse! I took the book off the shelf, and there was something different behind it. I looked all over the aisle, and there were no other Stephenie Meyer books anywhere. The price was $14.99 - list price $19.99, plus I had the friends and family discount. I decided it was a sign that God wanted me to have this book. So I picked it up! YAY! Now, as soon as I'm done with New Moon, I can read the next one without having to wait for 3 weeks! And, it's hefty, so it must be the longest book in the series.

Woo hoo! I just finished New Moon again, but I think it will be about a month before I have enough survey points to buy the third book.

Have you made any progress in New Moon?

Yeah, I had a little trouble getting into this one because there was no Edward for a goodly portion of the book. ;) But I stayed up until 3 am reading, and finally had to go to sleep because I do have things to do today (though I don't want to do anything but read). I've read all morning, and I am on page 519 out of 563.

Funny...maybe true...but I still don't like you making fun of me for this. I had no intention of being so in love with this books series. I started reading out of curiosity, and now I love it. I am what I am...a sap.

I just finished the book. I'm squarely on Team Edward. I like Jacob, but I love Edward. :)

and fx, puh-leeze stop with the twilight movie spoilers and such. we don't care if we will hate it, we are going to go see it regardless.

Ha ha Liz, that video posted by efxman did not have any spoilers! It was just taking elements out of the trailer and making fun of them. Hilarious and no spoilers!

Ok, Mary, see if you still like Edward better after Eclipse. I just like that big human heater of a werewolf! He reminds me of my husband with the human heater part ;)

eclipse is what ruined edward for john. but it's also what ruined jacob for me, so to each his own i suppose. no spoilers? i didn't even look cause i didn't want to know. plus, i took offense with the major anti-twilight vibe. you just don't mess with my twilight man! ;)

Well, heck. I bought Eclipse. It's the one I'm reading now, but I won't have much time this week. :( The theatrical release paperback of Twilight is on sale at Walmart for $6. And also the Spanish version of the books. But not the English version of all of the books.
